St. Peterburg
At Bay Shore Cleaning & Restoration, we take pride in offering expert floor care services throughout St. Petersburg, Florida. Known for its historic charm, eclectic architecture, and vibrant arts scene, St. Pete is home to a wide variety of flooring styles, from vintage terrazzo and luxurious marble to natural travertine and porcelain tile and grout surfaces. Our team specializes in restoring, polishing, and protecting these surfaces with unmatched precision and care.
Our clients in St. Petersburg include homeowners, property managers, real estate investors, and business owners who value the appearance and longevity of their floors. Whether you live in a historic bungalow in Old Northeast, a modern condo downtown, or manage a busy commercial space on Central Avenue, our floor care solutions are designed to deliver long-term beauty and durability.
St. Petersburg’s unique climate, coastal environment, and architectural diversity present specific challenges for floor care. Salt air, humidity, sand, and frequent foot traffic all contribute to the gradual wear and deterioration of tile, stone, and wood floors. Our experience working with properties throughout the area gives us the insight needed to properly treat each surface based on its material, finish, and location.
Here’s what sets Bay Shore Cleaning & Restoration apart in St. Pete:
From restoring old terrazzo in Kenwood to polishing marble in Snell Isle, we bring local knowledge and top-tier workmanship to every job.
Terrazzo is an iconic flooring choice in many of St. Petersburg’s mid-century and historic homes. Its colorful aggregate finish offers beauty and durability, but it requires specialized care to maintain its brilliance. Many general cleaning services are not equipped to handle terrazzo properly, often providing only superficial results.
At Bay Shore Cleaning & Restoration, terrazzo care is one of our core specialties. Our process includes:
We don’t cut corners or rely on quick fixes. Our team restores terrazzo floors with long-term results in mind, delivering the clarity, color, and smoothness that makes terrazzo a standout feature in any space.
Travertine is a popular natural stone used in single family homes and commercial spaces throughout St. Pete. Its earthy tones and semi-filled surface make it a favorite for both traditional and modern interiors. However, travertine is porous and relatively soft compared to other stone types, making it vulnerable to pitting, staining, dullness, and surface wear.
Our travertine floor services are comprehensive and include:
We take into account the finish and pattern of each travertine installation to ensure our restoration enhances both the look and performance of the stone. Our expertise ensures that your travertine floors are restored with both beauty and durability in mind.
Marble is a classic choice for luxury interiors across St. Petersburg, often found in classic decorated homes, hotel lobbies, and beachfront condos. Its bright surface and elegant veining require regular maintenance to preserve their natural brilliance. Marble is sensitive to acidic spills, scratches, and moisture, which can dull its shine over time.
Our marble services include:
We treat marble with the care it deserves, restoring it to a beautiful, polished finish while protecting it from the challenges of everyday wear and environmental exposure.
Tile and grout surfaces are everywhere in St. Petersburg homes and businesses, especially in kitchens, entryways, and foyers. Over time, grout lines become stained and discolored, and tile surfaces lose their luster due to foot traffic. Traditional mopping or home cleaning products rarely address the problem at the source.
Our tile and grout services include:
Our deep cleaning technology is far more effective than consumer solutions, restoring tile and grout to their original appearance. We also offer long-lasting grout sealing to help maintain those results over time.
Wood floors are a staple in many of St. Petersburg’s historic and coastal homes. From original hardwood in Old Southeast to engineered flooring in new developments, we help homeowners maintain the beauty and character of their wood floors without resorting to sanding or invasive treatments.
Our wood floor care services include:
Our approach preserves the structure and finish of your wood floors while restoring their natural beauty and luster. It’s ideal for ongoing maintenance or for refreshing floors before a special occasion or real estate showing.
Yes, terrazzo restoration is one of our primary specialties, and we frequently work on older homes in St. Petersburg where terrazzo is a common flooring material. These floors often have decades of wear, including discoloration, stains, and non uniform surfaces. Our process involves deep cleaning, diamond honing, and polishing to bring the floor back to life. We also provide sealing to protect the surface and extend the longevity of the restoration. Our results often surprise homeowners who didn’t realize just how beautiful their original terrazzo could look.
If your travertine floors appear dull, non uniform, or have visible scratches and etching, they may benefit from honing and polishing. Honing smooths out the surface and corrects minor damage, while polishing brings out the natural shine of the stone. We inspect each floor before beginning work to determine the right level of service. Whether your travertine has a matte finish or a glossy appearance, we tailor our process to match your aesthetic preferences while preserving the integrity of the stone.
Yes, our tile and grout cleaning services are designed to target long-term and deeply embedded stains that standard household cleaners cannot reach. We use a combination of high-heat water, controlled pressure, and specialized cleaning detergents to break down grime and restore the grout lines to a near-original appearance. Once cleaned, we recommend sealing the grout to prevent future staining and discoloration. This service is especially popular for kitchens, foyers, and entryways in St. Pete homes where traffic and moisture contribute to staining.
Yes, our wood floor cleaning and polishing services are designed to restore shine and remove surface residue without sanding. We use gentle, low-moisture systems that clean the surface and lift grime without damaging the finish or structure of the wood. This is an excellent option for maintaining wood floors in between refinishing cycles, or when a full sanding is unnecessary. It’s also safe for engineered wood and vinyl wood-look floors commonly used in modern homes and condos throughout St. Petersburg.
Absolutely. We work with homeowners, landlords, property managers, and commercial property owners across St. Petersburg.
